The GBS grates I ordered impressed me from day one, thicker rod and all stainless was a nice addition.
Today I saw the single SS grate for sale and ordered it up.
I also ordered up the new CI single grate. I can see doing some serious searing on that grate with it on the right side. Should make the SF an even better reverse sear machine.

The Amazon stock was low and I had some gift cards, so CLICK!

Hmm having issues with adding pics.

Nice, I’m definitely leaning towards some new grates. Trying to decide on the GBS.

I have been thinking of doing something similar.
My Gen 2 EX4 came with the GBS grates and we have the GBS wok but neither would be used to their full potential as much as a set of grates like these or even a set of GrillGrates on one side.

I would say this is not for the EX 4 unless you buy two pieces and remove the gbs grate with the removable center. Grill grates are searing machines and are anodized aluminum so they are easy to maintain. They are a great product you can throw right on top of the GBS grates. That said I use a GBS cast iron insert pretty frequently. You can fit 4 steaks on there unless they are porterhouses. Good luck.

So, what is your opinion of the Gourmet BBQ System. Is it worth the cost?

Everybody’s experience and expectations are different, but I like it. The grates are very heavy duty. Worth the expense? That depends. For me yes. I like the bulk of the build quality and I use the other accessories. I really feel just the build quality and the cast iron insert make it a great fit for me personally.

Agree 100%

The thickness of the GBS grates and the stainless make it worth it in my opinion.
I also love to keep my sear grate in there. Really can’t wait to try out the full CI section for searing.

Which accessory do you like best?

man, I've been thinking about this... I had the GBS for my performer and still have the cast iron insert. It's been looking at me and telling me it'd be great

I like both the front and side shelves and as far as GBS, I like the cast grid insert and the cast skillet or whatever they call it. I also like the chicken roaster. You can remove the roasting post and use it as a veg basket without the bird. I haven’t had opportunity to do any Wok cooking and not sure I will very much. We’ll see. Haven’t done pizza yet either but I will for sure. I’ve done plenty on other cookers in the past. All the cast stuff is enameled which is awesome for care of the pieces.

I’ve got the griddle, the pizza and the sear grate. I’m thinking it could get pushed aside a little if the CI grate is as good as I hope.

As for overall SmokeFire accessory? I love my table, one of the first ones from the fire ring guy and it’s a hell of a table.
