Cotter pin problem

Second broken cotter pin in four months. Weber pellets only. Any suggestions

Just spoke to Weber service. Sending a new auger with nut and bolt rather then cotter pin.

Are you cleaning out the auger (removing it)?
The bolt will break too. It serves the same purpose as the pin.

Yep get that new one with the bolt.
