So i got my new Gen 2 EX6 assembled tonight. Since it is raining outside, am i able to power up the grill in the garage and start doing the updates without having to light the grill or be ready to do my initial burn in or do i need to be ready to make fire before i start the process.

Does the controller function and allow you to do stuff without lighting it or is it wanting to light as soon as you turn it on?

You can update without firing it up. You have to set temp the push the controller to fire it up. But not to update. Bottom line after you update. Do your initial burn in and then let’s get to cookin’!
