Hello,
My name is Dana. I live retired in Cartersville, Ga.. I went from a gas grill to the Weber Kettle about 4yrs ago. I’ve been about 50% successful on using it as a low-n-slow smoker. I was not very good at babysitting a long cook, trying to keep temps low and consistent with venting. I began researching pellet grills. I was about to buy the Rec Tec 700 when the Smokefire was introduced last year. I like the ability on the SF to sear without using Grill Grates like the Rec Tec recommends, plus the SF auger design made more sense to me. I ordered from Lowe’s back in Oct and just received it this past week. Looking forward to grilling and smoking in the years to come.
