So by my strictly unscientific method to pick a winner of todays SB LV contest, we decided to do a pregame shootout with one 2.5# prime tomahawk ribeye for KC and 3 spiny lobster tails for TB. The tomahawk seasoned with Kosher salt and coarse grind black pepper went on the EX4 at 225* until it hit an internal temp of 115*, then it was pulled of the grill, tented with foil while the grill temp was set to 600* While I was waiting for the SF to come up to temp, I placed the lobster tails on my Genesis gasser at about 500*. I don't know why I didn't throw them on the SF as well but life is for learning.......At any rate the SF hits 600* and back on goes the ribeye for a nice reverse sear, about 4-5 minutes per side. Off the grill and back under a tent, pulling the tails off shortly there after. Paired up this surf and turf with grilled asparagus and a nice baked potato. Sorry no pics of the plate I only have two hands. Winner of the shootout in my palates judgment was ................................the RIBEYE! KC by 13...................... Todays tailgate menu will be pulled pork. Butts on the SF now at 250* for 6-8 hours. Can't wait!

Love me some lobster but I’m all in on that Chiefs ribeye!
