Hi - I'm Mike. I live in Safety Harbor, FL (suburb of the Tampa/St Pete area) and I currently have and use an old Weber Spirit gas grill and a WSM (18.5).
I got into smoking maybe 6 or 7 years ago after my wife got me the WSM as a birthday present. I knew nothing about smoking at the time and made some truly horrible food my first few attempts. Pretty sure she regretted that decision rather quickly
. Anywho... I've really enjoyed learning the basics on the WSM and can occasionally make some halfway decent food with it now. I guess most importantly, its shown me that smoking is a hobby i truly enjoy.
I'm now looking to upgrade my fleet with a SmokeFire and am hopeful i'll be able to replace both the old gas ser and the WSM with this single unit.
