SmokeFire EX6 Gen 2, Weber Genesis II LX, Weber SMS
Greetings All,
Long time griller and smoker (Weber SMS), even did a few amateur tailgate competitions with thighs and ribs.
Had been wanting a pellet cooker for a while and pulled the trigger back in February and bought a popular brand at Costco. Avoided the SmokeFire due to reviews and issues I had read about. Well, thanks to Weber having the current sale, and Costco’s wonderful return policy, I now have the SmokeFire EX6.
Thus far after two shorter cooks, I’m believing I have made the right decision with Weber. Higher and faster temps than the Silverton 810 I returned and clean up much simpler.
Definitely looking forward to learning and sharing with y’all on here.
Be Blessed!!

Nice. Just assembled and did the burn in on mine. Ready for the 4th weekend!

Congrats!!
I have three ~7 pound Boston butts to go on this one for the 4th. Anxious to see how the longer cook does.

I really do like my SF.

Thanks! Will be sure to post results with photos.

Love that Costco return policy!!
Hope you guys kick some serious ass this glorious 4th of July weekend!!

So the reverse sear burgers turned out great. Wife thought they were the best burger she ever had. Even my 11 daughter inhaled hers haha. I know it's not a real "smoke" but it's my first smoke. Tomorrow I'm doing a pork shoulder.

For the burgers, I mixed a scrambled egg with 1LB beef. Added about 1-1/2 tbsp of some rub I use (salt, pepper, paprika, cumin , dried oregano, coriander, cayenne) to make three 1/3 lb burgers. Smoked at 245 for about 50min to 135 deg then cranked it to 450 and seared them a couple minutes.

I did some burgers and brats last night. Mine were great but yours look next level. Bravo!👍🏻
