No more neglecting my EX6

Hi All
Long time Weber fan here. I upgraded from a Traeger Renegade to the Weber EX6 last summer. I do most of my smoking on a 22" Weber Smokey Mountain. The flavor is hard to beat, but it's a lot of work. I have to admit that I don't use my EX6 nearly as much as I would like. Which is silly considering how convenient is it.
I just upgraded from another gas grill to a Genesis 2022. I'm still waiting for that to arrive though.
When I learned that I could use the Weber Crafted accessories on the EX6, I got excited about using my pellet grill again. I've been using my Weber kettles more than anything else for most meals. I'm looking to learn more about my EX6 and get some real use out of it.

Ironically , it was smoking on my kettles that pulled me away from my WSM. Reading all the posts here reminds me of what I’m missing out on with my Smokefire.

The name is very fitting. Love it.
I switched to sand instead of water to keep the cleanup easier in the WSM. It does well with maintaining the temperature. And there’s something about the flavor that can’t be matched. It with the ease of smoking on the kettle or EX6, it takes a lot to go through the hassle. My WSM is still my favorite for brisket. The last time I tried to use the SmokeFire for brisket, I kept having flame out issues. I’ve since done a deep clean and replaced the infighter. Oh and switched back to Weber pellets. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow when I do the chuck roast.

Welcome. It is hard to beat Weber kettle cooks. I tried once in my 22” wsm…total fail. And realized way too much work for me. So I sold it. Any way….my ex6 is a thing of beauty. We have cooked just about all of you standard bbq stuff, and then some more. Extremely easy and convenient. Good luck and everyone like pics.
