Onion Bombs

Hollowed out XL onions, stuffed with hamburger meat, chopped jalapenos, steak seasoning, chopped porcini mushrooms, wrapped with bacon slices, cooked at 350f till internal temp of 165, basted with a bbq sauce the last 30 minutes or so of cooking. Never fixed these before, but we'll do them again..............soon.

I suppose you could, but with smaller onions, they would be tedious to fill. These are about 4" onions

Well done, I did several of these awhile back, looked cool but too much solid onion for me.

I used large sweet onions. Terrific flavor with the savory filling
