What is a safe alternative wood pellet that can be used on the Smokefire grill other than Weber pellets?
I’ve used Weber, Traeger, Pitt Boss, and a smoker tube for cheese….I’m of the opinion just about any pellets would work…generally speaking…I try to pay attention to how the pellets are made and how old the are…can’t always tell though. I’m also of the opinion, once you find one that you like and works well, why change? Didn’t like treager, Pitt boss was ok, lots of selection and cheaper, but I like Weber pellets a lot.

This is a list of popular pellets and their sizes. Lumberjack allegedly makes Weber pellets. With that in mind, try to stay within that size range for alternative pellets. That said, I've used Pitboss, B&B, Lumberjack and Kingsford with success.
