Grill
Still looking
I haven’t bought a grill yet because I’ve been on the damn phone for over two hours, waiting to speak to customer service. While doing so, I downloaded their app. Was very surprised to see there was NO reference to any “pellet” information, NOTHING! NADA! So where does one go for assistance on grilling different meats, etc. Didn’t find information on “baking.” Unless I missed it, all their info on grilling meat was to cook it rare. 🤮.
They show different businesses that are supposed to carry their pellet grills. Every place I called ONLY carried the gas grills. Was repeatedly told if I ordered a pellet grill, there would be no service after the sale!! So, how in the hell, where in the hell can I purchase the EH6 and expect local or semi local help?? WAITING for hours to talk to a Weber tech is not my idea of fun.
FURTHERMORE, the music we are forced to listen to, while we wait to speak to a Weber tech, is a spin-off of the music I had to endure while waiting on a tech person atTreager grills 👀 🤬🤮.
Am I simply spinning my wheels here as I long to own a Weber grill or is this wait going to be beneficial in the long run??
Then again, I could order five cords of dry logs, cut to my specs and then split into smaller pieces, starting a nice fire and cook with a piece of meat hanging off a piece of wire. It appears it would be a lot faster than waiting to speak with a live person.

Damn, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

You seem to be wound a little tight. If you're this upset prior to actually buying one, I'd suggest going a different route

Me, wound tight? Nah, never happen.
When one feels like the walls are closing in, you open a window or a door.
Hours on the phone waiting for a Weber tech got me this:
Weber is shipping me a brand new EX6 for the price of (READY FOR THIS) $840.00. Then $40.00 for shipping and that is a grand total of $884.00. Yep, that’s all I paid. 😍😍😍
It’s on the way to my house!!

Sooooo, feeling good about that, I went online and ordered $428.80 worth of accessories; pellets, forks and knives, grilling STUFF.

ADDITIONALLY, Weber Tech guy found me a local business that will take care of any problems I may encounter. They will come to my house and put the grill together.

So perseverance rules the day. I’ll pop back on here and let ya know how things are going. 👋🏻

Hell of a deal!

Oh yeah, hell of a deal indeed!

Congrats and good luck! I hope you love your new grill as much as I love mine :)
TKS! I just received an updated. This grill will arrive my home on July 20. Hope to be up and running in a day or two after that.

Service is one of the many reasons I abandoned Weber and bought a RecTec
I gave up on Treager grills for that very reason. IF Weber let’s me down then I’ll sell my grill and mooch off my neighbor. LOLROF 😂

In response to ALL the “poor “ customer service posts, let me say that my personal experience is this. Wanted to order an extra glow plug due to all the negative posts on them. Left a message and email and waited 2 weeks and forgot about it. Then during the 3rd week got a call (which I answered) and it was Weber! Told them what I was looking for, and instead of 1 glow plug, they gave me 3 with an extra holder. Also gave me the inclined hopper, all at no charge. To me they are trying to above and beyond the normal service and I will stay a loyal customer.

Have owned 8 different Weber grills over the past 20 plus years, still have 4 - Q, Smokey Mountain, Summit 670 and EX4 — and have always found not only their service but also inventory of parts to be excellent. I would never consider another brand just for that at reason.

The same is also holding true with the new EX4 I recently purchased, as it not only came with all revisions either installed or in an accompanying box, but also provided me with a couple of spare parts I wanted at a very reasonable price. I had no problem contacting customer service and ordered the parts on-line with 5 day delivery.
