Fresh off the smokefire reverse seared smoked tri tip. Used hardcore carnivore black as the rub and lumberjack competition blend pellets

Thanks. Didn't read the details of the contest before the post. Lol. Never done a tri tip before but will again turned out great.

Do you mind sharing cook temps and exactly how you did that?
 
That was low and slow, look at that smoke ring. Delicious!!

Sure. I cooked it at 250 degrees for an hour until an internal temp of 130 degrees. Took it off the grill and heated the grill up to 525 degrees. Put it back on two minutes on each side to sear.
