Just a warning, it's very Quirky. Took me numerous attempts to update. I actually had to fire up the grill, shut it a minute later and then it showed up....

Nope, this one actually updates

Mine is fine. Haven't checked out all the changes ( quite cold here) but did notice a change in some of the screens and dashboards I think. Most likely the bulk of the updates will be related to the cook cycle programs and smart technology. We shall see.

Mine is flawless now through a handful of cooks.

Cooked a few times on it alreadty. I think it is much more responsive to set temp changes. Here's some wings and Cowboys I smoked tonight.

What is the procedure to get this update?
Mine update without my knowledge. I only noticed once Don D brought it to my attention. I leave my unit on after the cook sometimes and it probably pushed the update to me during this time🤷🏼‍♂️ I didn’t initiate anything on my end.

If I am reading this correct, I am up to date?

First time I remember getting an email about the firmware. They must be proud of it.

I got the e-mail too. Glad to see Weber being more proactive about communicating what they are doing. Our SF's are definitely part of the IoT (Internet of Things) generation. A little un-nerving that they can do updates without our noticing (or permission) - thus all the more reason why they need to talk to us frequently and sometimes ask us our thoughts for needed enhancements. This update (I haven't done it yet as I'm away from home) suggests the SF has a lot more control over the variables regulating how our SF's work than we know.
