Hello, I am John from the Netherlands
I have an EX4 gen1 with a new auger/chute and glowplug installed. the old one caused a temperature drop of 50 degrees Celsius.
yesterday a new cook and the temp set at 125 Celcius and after 1 hour the temperature drops 50 degrees in 10 minutes.
same problem again. I opened the firebox and it looked like the picture.

After a new start the EX4 keeps the set temperature.
wat could be wrong? Temp controller?
any suggestions

125C =260F. Drop: 50C= 125F

Yeah, make sure you have removed the wire guard in the hopper. Remove one screw at a time and replace them before removing the next one because they also hold the auger assembly in place. Also cycle the unit a few times to make sure the software and firmware is current. It probably is. Stick with it. It’s a great cooker.

Thanks for the reply's. I'll take. notice of them when using my new SF gen 2. Weber replaces my SF for an 2nd Gen assembled in their factory. Great service. :) For now waiting and trying the new one.
Greetings from Holland, John
