Glad you posted this, I’ve been hesitant. I’m pretty pissed that this has happened to mine as well. I have parts on order they are back ordered. I’m escalating my complaint if I can I’m not cool with the slide disintegrating this soon. I can no longer recommend a Weber SmokeFire at this point. They need to make these internals thicker and out of stainless.

Yes better quality or a longer warranty. Mine is used all the time so I will be getting to this point soon I expect

I actually just had this conversation aswell. I'm not longer giving the smokefire as an option if people ask me what kind of smoker they should buy. Even though costumer service is nothing but great to me. If I didn't noticed this 5min in I probably burned down my second smokefire.
