TrendKill posted a good video on the SmokeFirešŸ”„

Iā€™m glad heā€™s back on the SmokeFirešŸ”„ wagon!!
Love this. This is what Iā€™ve been telling my friends all along. My brother is considering one. The fact I can fire it up quick like a gasser, but with access to direct wood flame for a big wood smoke flavor Is just so underrated at the current moment. I have a Genesis 1 SE and it takes longer to preheat than my Smokefire!! And the temperature is easier to control and more consistent due to the nature of the control. And it does not seem to get nearly as hot or recover as fast.

My genesis as well has a hot spot on the far right side. Rest of the grate is pretty even. Been cooking with it for 6 years so I know it well. Since the last update the Smokefire hotspot is not as bad as when it first was and is not as far right but pretty close. When I grill at 400-500 degrees itā€™s fairly even.

Agree 100%, I just cooked 3 pizzas for the family and the SF fired up to 400, did itā€™s job and now itā€™s shutting off. A quick vacuum tomorrow and Iā€™ll throw 2 butts on it all night. Itā€™s too easy.
I just bought a 26ā€ kettle to round out the collection but damn it seems the only action goes to the SF for most things and Q-320 for veggies only.

Sam here - I feel bad for my Genesis I barely use it except for overflow. It has treated me very well (still does) and had lots of good use. It introduced me to what a well designed grill can do. Still in perfect condition.

My opinion hasn't changed from when I bought the WSF in February...I love this thing, and it's only gotten better! :)
I took my WSF on vacation with me, drug it 275 miles across the state to cook dinners for my family at the river. Performed flawlessly!

20lbs of hamburgers, 6 hours smoke of 5 racks of ribs, 21 hr smoke for a 16lb brisket...the WSF did it all and the food was phenomenal!
