Anyone buy an ambient probe lately?
I got this from Amazon and the rubber pieces are smaller. Does that look legit?

I’m fairly confident that this is a legit change. I seem to recall seeing this change because it’s pretty hard to get the larger silicone pieces on the probes. It stuck in My mind as I’ve installed a few. I think it’ll be easier to install or remove the smaller ones. LOL.

Thanks for the information!! I’m going to use it on my low and slow.

My non ambient Weber probes came that way. Tho the probes that came with the grill had one big piece of silicon and were the same color.

👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks for the heads up, not sure I like or not yet.

yup this is the way they are now. i would rather have the larger silicone to grab with. I did just put all the little sleeves on the probe to make it "meatier" I should be able to tell based on temp what probe it is :)

You do have a good point about grabbing the probes. i wonder if you can put on two smaller ones to give you a decent area. Good call!

I keep learning the hard way to not grab the probes with my hands... 😬

When I remember I use tongs.

I have some extra longer ones from my other probes, I was just wondering if it was legit.
