Like the title says, I am looking to find weber pellets for purchase in store anywhere in the toronto area. I know they are sold at Dickson BBQ but was looking for any other location.

I can't get Weber pellets in my area yet either. I have used 3 different brands and been fine after I pulled the little wire guard off and put the screws back in one at a time.

BBQ Galore has them in Burlington. A little far from you. I think Dickson's will deliver and it says free delivery over a certain amount I think. I also asked at Dickson's and their Weber rep said Home Depot got a huge shipment to there warehouse but I don't think they are in any stores yet.

What brands have you used?
I have used Treager, green mtn and cooking pellets 40PM for short hot grilling with no problems. Yesterday I did a long cook with Treager and I had the pellet ash coke up and cover my ignitor. This snuffed the fire and the ignitor was completely encased. I was in a hurry to get my cook going so I didn't get a picture of it, but I did grab a chunk to take a picture. So I cannot recommend anything for slow cooks until I find something that doesn't do that.

That really sucks. Is there any chance that there was moisture ingress that cause it to cake up?

No I am really disciplined about pulling pellets after a cook and storing them dry. My Treager would smoke like a cold start semi if the pellets were left in it and got moisture in them. I am trying to get my hands on the Weber pellets to see if the same thing happens or not.

I have been hunting for weeks for Weber brand pellets. I finally got my hands on some. I just did a 16 hour brisket cook and used no drip trays and it went perfectly. I just went to clean up so I could go to 600 for grilling some sausages and checked the fire pot. There was a little of the coked ash but nothing like the Treager pellets. A 10 hour pork but with Treager pellets had coked the entire bottom of the fire pot almost and inch thick. There definitely is a difference.
