Searwood 600
I just bought a Searwood 600. The burn in and first batch of pork butt everything worked great the next day I tried to use it and it threw a E10 error every time I tried to start it. I would get to temp (250 deg.) and it would shut down on E10. I returned the smoker and got a replacement and the exact same thing happen to the replacement. Anyone else have problems like this?

Improper shutdown which seems silly since I am not shutting it down. I finally got ahold of someone at Weber and it sounds like it’s a known defect on a batch of smokers. I need to call another number tomorrow with my serial number and they are going to mail me a part.

All updates to firmware done?

I bought a brand new xl600 and after the burnin, when I wanted to use my grill for the first time, after less then 1 minute,I got that same error (E10) I contacted support but no answer yet. They were going to ask the support in the US for a solution. (I am from Europe). Is the issue solved ? And can I ask you how?

Same issue here, I did the firmware update but the error message keeps returning at random. Sometimes after 5 mintues, sometimes after an hour. I'm honestly a bit dissapointed in a smoker that costs 1500 euro.
Contacted support and waiting for a solution.

I had a very nice gentlemen on the phone yesterday from Weber and he's sending me a new glow plug. I'm glad to hear that it worked for you.

So received my new glowplug and installed it. Guess what? It doesn't solve the problem. I must say that I'm very dissapointed in Weber now. How is it possible that they sell a grill for 1500 euro that doesn't even function properly?

I contacted them again, via the contact form, to solve this problem for me or if they can't, give me my money back.

We have this same error message. Downloaded the proper update and it still flashes E10. You would think that Weber would put in a simple reset button somewhere in the electronics to force a reset. Typical electronics failure by Weber, good grills but shoddy electronics.

It's not a software issue, at least that's what they told me. The problem should be the glowplug but replacing it didn't solve it for me. After much emailing and calling, I'm going to get a new BBQ from them but when is the question of course. I hope that at least before the summer ends, I will be able to use the BBQ.

We will see...:sneaky:
