The side shell was engineered very well for easy attachment. I really like the extra space.
The one issue is the handle is now useless to try to move the EX4. See 1st video.
I came up with an idea:
If I drill holes on each side of the shelf and put in sliding pins (see pic) to lock side shelf up then you then could use the handle.
The metal on the sides is too thin and it just flexed and did not work to hold it steady. So I bought some SS bolts, wing nuts and washers for stiffness. See 2nd video. It worked.
There is a slight issue. I see the thin metal where it is attached to grill is slightly bending and will start to tear.
Only if the metal was a little stronger!!
Maybe Weber could come up with a way the have the side shelf be sturdy enough to be able to move the EX4.
