EX6, 3, 22” kettles, 18” kettle and a e310 gasser
So I decided to give my EX6 a once over. Shop vac, brushed her up a bit. Wiped her down some and ran her up to 300 for a test run. Ran clean and smooth. Ran an ambient probe with it too.

Quite a difference between the two temps. I read that the built in ambient probe should be kept clean, easier said than done after its been there a bit, gets a lot of residue on it.

Built in probe isn’t ambient…made for temp control. And yes a large difference in the temps but once it sat a 300 for a few the ambient one started dropping a bit.

I disagree, shouldn’t the temp setting be the temp of the grill and not off 50-100 degrees? Otherwise what’s the point.

One is run by a PID and one isn't.. They will not be the same.
