Looking For The Best Skewers To Use With The EX4

Anyone any experience of either a decent set of skewers or a set-up that works with the Smokefire EX4 (In The UK)

I have been looking at the Weber Elevation Tiered Grilling System if it is suitable? but before pulling the plug on them, wondering if anyone has any better suggestions, that are suited for the Smokefire EX4?

Never done any cooking with Skewers before so a complete novice, just read that if you choose the wrong type, when you turn the skewer,the food can stay in the same position although you have turned the skewer.

I’m not a huge fan of skewers. They are a nice presentation at times, but if you put different items on the same skewer that cook at different times, it’s impossible to cook them all properly. I tend to use a veggie basket for the veg and cook the protein whole as much as possible. Sort of a deconstructed kabob. If you use round skewers you usually need two of them to keep the protein from spinning. They do make various flat skewers in both wood and metal that help the spinning meat issue. These work great, wide so food actually flips.
Price is good.

Definitely get flat skewers. Make skewers of veggies and meat separately so you have control over cook times much more easily.

Agree with the flat skewer recommendations. Hate when try to turn over the round ones and some of the kabob ingredients spin around. Doing meat and veg separate is great idea too.
