Searwood 600
Hey y'all,

I've just bought a Searwood on 4/24/25. Ive done 3 cooks in it. I went to clean it and discovered that under the burn pot the paint has melted and chipped away. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I'm waiting to hear back from weber support but this seems like it could be a engineering oversight to wait that housing.

Weber Support said they were going to replace the part. However, I don't even see that part identified on the schematics page.

Furthermore, if they just send me a part that is painted again, its just going to melt again.

If the grill can get up to 600F while reading around the temperature probe, then I would assume the area around the burn pot could be double that probably around 1200F and paint melts around 200-300F.

I just spoke with someone from weber about the replacement part.

They are going to have to send me a whole new cookbox and send out a technician to help replace it.
So basically replacing the whole bottom part of the grill.

They are saying its a manufacturing defect with the enamel coating.
