Like many among us, I have problems getting high temps on my EX4 as well. The highest reachable temperature for me was 140 °C. After a lot email conversations with Weber customer service BE and NL they came up with 2 possible problems which cause the temperature problem.
1. The controller is broken
2. The new auger might end the problems but it's not yet available in Europe.
Today they sent me a new controller. Swapping the controllers is pretty easy, upgrading the software and the SF is ready to use. I set the temp to 310°C but this time stalls the temp at 180°C and crawls eventually back to 130°C. Great...
What I did not mention is that I use a mix of GMG pellets and Weber pellets. Could de GMG pellets cause these problems?
I think the only possible outcome is to wait for the new auger...
