Hello from Pennsylvania! I just got my first official griddle, but I’m not new to griddling. I’ve used flat top inserts on gas grills and my cooktop range. I do a fair amount of smoking on a stick burner and I love to cook my steaks over charcoal on my kettle grill. I look forward to putting my new Weber slate griddle to good use.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new Slate! What made you pick it over some of the other options out there?

I chose the Weber slate due to the features, including increased resistance to rust on the cooktop. I realize it will rust if neglected, but I do not have a covered patio, so it will see some weather. It looks pretty dang good too.
