SW download always fails at 64%

SmokeFire EPX6 Stealth
Just received my SmokeFire EPX6.

I'm trying to update the SW via Weber Connect, but the download always fails at the point where the download has reached 64%.
Any clues on how to fix this?

I'm now at attempt #10, but always have the same failure at the same percentage.

The Bluetooth connection is ok.
 
Some more attempts this morning, always had the same result, it stops after it reaches 64%.

I suspected my phone might have insufficient storage available, but after cleaning, a lot, no difference.

Have you tried connecting with wifi rather than bluetooth? I remember having the same types of problems, connecting with wifi did the trick for me.
 
I tried that, but it looks as if the SW update only works via bluetooth.

Faq entry How do I update my firmware? seems to confirm that.

Pair your SmokeFire to the Weber Connect app via Bluetooth or Bluetooth + WiFi. Updates will not occur if only connected via WiFi.
 
Yes. And power cycle your internet router and wifi. As well as your mobile. In that order.
