I have a friend moving out of state and offering me his used EX6 for $600. I wanted one of these cookers at launch, but given some of the reviews held off...this could be my chance to get one, risk free basically. He did bend part of the grill, and also said it doesn't start the first time, every time. I assume that I would order the glow plug immediately to fix that problem along with taking apart and making sure it's been cleaned and assembled correctly. Should I have any other hesitations? Any tips/input etc. I'm not sure Weber will honor warranty either since I am not original owner?? Thanks all!!!

Buy it quick.

The bent metal is a housing that can be straightened. With the new software, you will be good.

I went for it. I called Weber and left my number to call back to hopefully get the parts they’ve been sending out ASAP. I have never had a problem with Weber support in past hoping I get a call back within a few days.

Dude I picked up an EX6 for the same price. It had only had the initial burn in done. I was nervous, hoping that it wasnt broken. It hadn’t been registered yet, so Weber was kind enough to do the warranty, granted it was brand new, I picked it up early February 2020. Mine has worked very well since then. Did have to replace a fuse, but other than that. No issues.
