Different casters

I am gripping and turning the multi-sided piece above the wheel assembly, the part identified by arrow and the same part I turned when screwing in the casters.

Very strange. The threaded nut is welded into the ID of the tube. Is the metal disc inside the tube spinning as well? Can you look underneath and see what's up?

I just took off my 5in and put on the original and can't get my channel locks on the screw flange "nut". My locks are too thick because of the opening and the size channel locks I need. Maybe yours are smaller but mine don't fit. However, a large narrow adjustable works great. Though I doubt you have a pair of these.

I don’t have one of those. I was able to get them off with the channel locks once I determined the proper direction to turn them. Duh! New casters are now installed! What a difference they make in stability. Will look to level it without the shims on a future date, for now this works.

I do appreciate your assistance and apologize for my inaptitude.

It’s a real nice upgrade imo. Cheers!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I had a quick question.....
I see the ones you guys have gotten have a 1.5" shaft. Curious if a 1" shaft would be enough. I would think so but don't want to take one of my wheels off to find out.
I really want these because I'm a Giants fan.
Nevermind. Took off a wheel. They'll fit fine.

I like those!!
SF Giants? Man they are a mess right now. Be interesting to see who they hire as coach.
Wish we could bring back Bochy.

I would think 1” would be ok. I went longer just to get more engagement.

I've heard a rumor I won't repeat. We'll see.

The original is 1.5" like the ones previously mentioned. I took one off and measured but the 1" would fit fine so I ordered them. They are on their way!

Got em in and Got em on.

Dusty Baker?
No, a friend with connections told me Buster Posey. For a variety of reasons.
I didn't believe him.
Turns out I was right since Bob Melvin was named Manager and Posey is on the board and interviewed him.
