Hello,

I am a very longtime Weber enthusiast. I've owned some variation of a charcoal powered Weber Kettle for over forty five years. Before Weber brought out pellet grills, I purchased two other, over a period of seven years and both essentially died on me. I nearly bought a Weber Smokefire, until the reviews came in pointing out what I felt were some serious flaws. The second generation nearly pulled me in, but they also seemed less than optimal.

I am now hopeful that the smaller model Searfire might be the pellet smoker that I am in search of. Lots of smoke, very reliable, and something that will perform at a high-level long term. I already have the wonderful Master Touch charcoal grill for grilling needs, and feel it can perform as well, or better than any other grill, at any price. Now, I just need a high quality smoker. I joined this forum hoping to discover if the Searfire will provide the solution for me.

The Searwood is getting a lot of positive feed back. Certainly on my radar as a replacement for my SmokeFire when it finally goes.
