The diameter is a great plus for me moving it around on my stamped concrete patio. Just the softer material on the wheels is a big bonus. Also the added height is nice. Enjoy them.

Nice !! Do you have a link for the Casters ?? Are they sturdy? Any mods to the existing screw holes?? Thanks. I was looking around for good casters, but read that people were having them collapse in. Ty

I also went to the 5" casters, so much easier to move around. They roll so easy I have to keep the wheel locks on or it will be blown away. One of the better mods to do.

Love the red, I went with these early in and I love them, looks they have gotten a little more expensive though.

I do love your black front table …. I got the folding one from Weber… can’t say that I am completely satisfied…. Is yours custom made?

It was was custom made, they were all the rage for a minute, my powder coat didn’t hold up too well and it’s gonna be expansive to get that re-done out here. I do love it though.

I don't have issues with my front and side shelves. I did initially have a pause when I realized the handle is very close to the front shelf, but I've just learned when to use it and when not to use it. I have two side shelves to use as well. I do like that there are hooks under the shelf for holding the upper grid. You can still load and unload the grill when you want to use both hands and then just move the stuff if you are unloading or pick up you platter before closing the lid. It's a kin to moving your leg into your car before you shut the door on it. You can learn pretty quickly if you want to.

Great stuff… thank you for sharing.
I’m not sure I’ll get the side table because I Im afraid once I add it I’ll loose the ability to move the SF around. I’m not sure that the handle on the shelf will be as sturdy as without it.

Like someone else mentioned, you have to lock the wheels on the Smokefire once you install the 5" wheels it moves so easily. You can move it with the other side table or the front handle or just grabbing the barrel of the cooker. I would not let that deter you if you are getting the larger wheels.

I was hesitant about the side shelf, but mine moves pretty easily on my concrete patio even with the original wheels.

The biggest annoyance is that if I have it folded down, which I usually do when I put the cover on, the wind bangs it against the body of the cooker and it makes an annoying noise.

Yeah, I leave my shelves up 99% of the time. They aren’t the best at locking in and out. Once locked in place, they are pretty stout.
