Pellet overruns

Hi all, I have a Smokefire EX6 and love it. I cook on it pretty much everyday. Was prompted to replace the plug and did that a month or two ago. Since then, i have had issues with the firebox filling up with pellets and the fire going out. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how to keep this from happening. Kind of stinks when your part way into a cook and have to shutdown and start over. Thanks in advance. Bill

That sucks. FWIW, I just ignored the prompt and there was an option to remove the notification. The glow plug should last years. That said, I’m not sure the issues are or would be related. Sorry to say I would reach out to CS.

I thought the glow plug just started the pellets, then shut off after they where lit.might have bumped something while changing it out? I also suggest Weber cs . If it lights then just feeds pellets in and snuffs out the fire…

That's exactly what it does.
It wont ignite again until the next time you start the grill.

Someone around here said they wrote a restart into the logic of the software of the Smokefire which cycles the plug back on in certain circumstances. As a rule though, the entire pellet grill world uses some type of igniter and then hands over the reigns to the auger and the fans just like you guys are suggesting.

Update, I believe i have figured out whats been happening. The tower over the firepit is gradually peeling apart and dropping pieces of metal down into the firepit snuffing out the fire. I have only been cleaning out about once a week, guess i'll do it more frequently now to see if that truly resolves the issue. Thanks for all the feeback.

You definatley need to clean it more often. After every cook is advisable.
