I have an EX4 on order (out in Australia next month) and I am getting 2 bags of Weber pellets (Hickory and Grillmaster Blend) as part of the pre-order promotion. I picked up a bag of GMG Texas Blend today to use as the Weber pellets will not be sent until the cooker is delivered.
I have 3/4 bag of Traeger pellets in the garage and I was wondering if these will be ok to use for the burn in process. I have no intention of using Traeger pellets in the cooker long term but I thought they would be good for this use? Any thought will be appreciated.

Burn away.

The Weber pellets are a smaller diameter pellet and while I burned some Traeger and camp chef pellets early on, I’ve settled in on using the Weber brand exclusively with great results.
