Hey all, I'm new to the forum, and brand new to pellet grills. I've grilled with propane for decades and just made the switch.
Questions about my new Searwood:
1) I just did the initial burn in. I've noticed that ash is all over the inside (and even on the outside as a light coating). Is this normal?
If it is normal, are there issues of ash getting on the food itself during the cook?
2) In the Weber app, under the recipes, for some of the recipes it says to use "indirect heat." One such recipe is "Chicken, Spatchcocked."
But as far as I can tell, the Searwood doesn't have this option, right? Or is there a way to do this that I'm not aware of?
