SmokeFire has spoiled me!

I no longer want to fire up the kettles! I love being able to crank up the SF and grill.
I’m going to install the welded auger tomorrow and hope it helps it get back to 600.

Yes, cooking a brisket this morning, I thought about how much less stressful it is. Up at temp 225 degrees within minutes and I returned to bed this morning. No babysitting the temperature as with my Big Green Egg.

I haven’t quite figured out why yet but cooking chicken on the Smokefire...absolutely AMAZING. And I mean straight up on the grates: wings, thighs, drumsticks, breasts, full spatchcock, and even boneless...just fantastic flavor and moisture (even without brining). Can’t do it better on my kettle or genesis, I’ve tried. I mean, better than using my rotisserie. I cannot wait to try my hand at a full turkey this Thursday!

I still have nearly a pallet of KF blue and haven’t opened a bag in nearly 3 months. Used to be that a pallet would barely make it from Memorial Day to Labor Day, this year I maybe used 6 bags.

I have 22 and 18 WSM, 26 otg, and SS performer all on the bench currently.

I am going to have to figure out how to work my other cookers back into rotation soon, before my wife figures out that one or two of them may be able to be “rehomed”.

I’m not using my kettles as much either, but my wife knows better than to suggest anything of the sort. She has her crafting that literally is an almost daily trip to dollar store, where amazing craft ideas sprout. New sewing machine, cricut, and tons of cake and cookie, stuff...no way Jose!
