Weber Searwood Pellet Grill: How to Clean and Maintain

I clean about 20hours or after chicken (it’s messy). Takes less than 15 min total

Cleaning is not that bad, I find it amusing the way they keep dumping the ash back into the grill. Why not just dump into a trash can?

@Supahbeel

Ash pot is sturdy, I doubt you can damage it, pull back & up.

Are you doing any long cooks? I’m used to having something under a pork butt or a brisket but with that single, lengthwise flavorizer bar I’m not sure how I would do that.
I have the 600.. not the XL. I did two 8lb pork butts on mine last weekend. I did low and slow overnight, so I put them both on the upper rack with a water / drip pan on the bottom grates to avoid the excess mess and worries since it was an overnight cook. I moved them to the bottom rack the next day when it was time to wrap. They turned out great and only had to clean out the ash after the cook.

Just one way of doing it.. I'm sure many will say it's not necessary, but it worked fine for me.

^This. I’ve had the 600 for a month and have done everything either on the top rack with a pan underneath or on the bottom rack in a shallow roasting pan with a tall grill rack in it for airflow - no mess and everything has come out beautifully.
