Weber SmokeFire $200 Price Drop

So I purchased A Smokefire EX4 from a local hardware store 6 days before the price drop, I was a little bummed and contacted Weber via Facebook and their website. I finally received a response over the weekend and spoke to them twice yesterday after they called me. Needless to say they are sending me $200 back and honoring the price drop. I had to email them the original sales receipt but a check is on the way. Aside from a delay in their response The customer service experience was great.
I pre-ordered my EX6 directly from Weber in February, this morning Weber sent me an email letting me know that they credited my credit card $200.00 because of the price drop. I did have to email them proof of purchase.

Nice! I got mine from Lowe’s in February, guessing I won’t have the same luck.
 
Got a response they asked me to send proof of purchase and said they would credit me the $200. 👍
I’m very impressed that they would do this and happy with the customer service overall except for how long it took to get connected with someone.

That is the mark of a truly great company...one of the reasons I only buy Weber products for all of my grilling and smoking! It is also a great PR move on their part as a way to get over the initial rollout issues and move forward.

I’d be happier if they reached out to us, I was on hold today for 2 1/2 hours, I think they are going to refund me but I’ll believe when I see it. She did not seem thrilled.

For those that have been on the fence whether to purchase a SmokeFire grill or not, now might be the time. Weber currently has a $200 price drop on both models. The SmokeFire EX4 is $799, the SmokeFire EX6 is $999.

Does anyone know if this is a holiday price sale or a permanent price drop?
I just paid $840.00 with $40.00 for shipping.
 
The $200 off deal was supposed to end on July 13th. Not sure if Weber extended it, but doubtful.
